The wet winter is now behind us and March sure heated up quick! Spring is here and it’s time to drop the top and go cruising! This time on the VIP Blog, we’re looking at where all the best car shows and spots coming to the Valley in April!

April 3rd

Hot Rod Night at Westgate

Every first Wednesday of the month, head down to WaterDance Plaza 5-9PM in the WestGate Entertainment district. In addition to the classic car show, patrons will be able to enjoy the happy hour deals and live music! All cars are welcome! 80’s and older will park in WaterDance Plaza while 90’s and newer can park near Fountain Park on Westgate Boulevard. Admission is free and parking opens at 4 PM. April 5th

5 & Diner First Friday Cruise

The first Friday of every month the local 5 & Diner hosts a Cruise-In. Stop in at 6 PM at the 5 & Diner at 5220 N. 16th St and enjoy 50% off an entrée! Cars and deals? What more could you want?

April 6th

Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering

This event is running 7-10AM at the Scottsdale 101 Shopping Center at 7000 E Mayo Blvd on Saturday morning. It’s a regular occurrence, the first Saturday of every month! Head out and enjoy some coffee and amazing cars, from classics to exotics! The event is rain or shine so you never have to worry about it getting cancelled. 4th Annual REV’D UP for Autism Car and Bike Show

The first Saturday is a popular occasion for car shows and cruise-ins so you certainly won’t be bored! Once the Scottsdale Motorsports Gathering is wrapping up you can then head right to Desert Wind Harley Davidson in Mesa for this car and bike show! From 10AM – 2PM, it’s a family friendly event with all proceeds going to Pawsitive Friendships, a 501©(3) charity that provides animal assisted therapy to children with autism. A good cause and a great collection of rides? What more could you want? For those looking to take part in the show, early registration is $20, day of for $25. Spectators get in free!

Viper Vanguard Car Show

For those looking to put some miles behind them on their car show day, Verrado High School out in Buckeye is having a fundraiser for their marching band. Open to all years, makes, models, whether trucks, cars, or motorcycles. There will be food, music, prizes, and awards in addition to the usual entertainment. It’s free to the public, and vendor spots, car registration, and parts swap meet spots all go for $30 each. Register online or find out more information.  Show off your ride and support he arts!

5th Annual MVBC Car Show

For our Tucson readers, the Mountain View Baptist Church will be putting on it’s 5th annual car show! This event is to help raise funds to send kids to summer camp and draws out quite the crowd. Last year over 90 vehicles participated. With 15 trophy classes for domestic and foreign cars, trucks, and motorcycles, all you need to participate is $5 and a non-perishable food item!

Taste of Surprise

The West Valley is showing off their best food in this event held by the Rotary Club of Surprise at Surprise Stadium. From 4-8PM, this even features food, music, drinks and more! This year for the first time they’ve added a car show! Be a part of the inaugural car show and enjoy some great eats. Find out more.

Rock & Roll Car Show

If you wanna stay up in Scottsdale for the day, you won’t have to wait long! At 4:30-10PM, the  Scottsdale Pavilions will host a free car show! Family fun with food, music, and the great shopping at the Pavilions shopping center is there all afternoon! These reoccur through out the month so if you can’t make the 6th, you’ll have a few more chances!

April 13th

So Cal Customs Second Saturday

Every weekend is a good weekend for car owners in the valley! So Cal Customs is hosting a regular Second Saturday event with donuts, coffees, shoe-box swap, oh yeah and cars! It kicks off at 6:30AM and while all are welcome, make sure you drive your hot rod or classic car! If you want to participate in the shoe box swap, you need to have brought a classic or hot rod and only bring items that can fit in a trunk.

3rd Annual Oracle Spring Run Car Show

Head out to the Pinal Country Courthouse Park at 7AM – 3PM for the 3rd annual Oracle Spring Run Car Show. There are numerous trophies on offer including Best In Show for Cars and Trucks. Entry is $25, find out more at the Oracle Historical Society.

3rd Annual Skull Valley Car Show

From 8 AM – 2 PM, this event put on by the Skull Valley Volunteer Fire Department, has food, vendors, raffles, and of course live music! Drive out your hot rods, classic, vintage, rat rods, low rides, and trucks, entry is $25 on the day of the event, $20 for early registration. Find out more.

Cactus Classic AMC Show

This two-day event starts Friday night with a Cactus Cruisers AMC BBQ and continues on to Saturday. The Cactus Classic XVIII is happening from 9 AM – 3 PM at the Verrado Community Center. Trophies will be given out at 2 PM so make sure you stick around to see who ends up on the podium! Entry fee $25. After all the car show festivities, there will be a Mixteca Cruise Night at Mixteca Mexican Restaurant. You can find a flyer with more details and their event calendar here.

April 27th

Caffeine & Chrome

The last Saturday of every month, Gateway Classic Cars host this car event presented by Grundy Insurance. From 9 AM – 12 PM, enjoy donuts, coffee, but more importantly over 250 classic and exotic rides. Everyone is welcome, bring the daily driver! No admission fee!

Freddy’s Last Saturday Cruise-In

Looking for a classic burger to go with your classic Ford Model B, lookin’ straight out of American Graffiti? Cruse into Freddy’s Steakburgers at 11143 N. Oracle Rd. in Oro Valley (85737) from 4 – 9 PM. Visit their Facebook pages for more info!

This isn’t even everything our sweet state has to offer! You can be sure, with weather like ours, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday there’s a show going on somewhere just waiting for you to show up and win that trophy!
